The alpacas are so cute you can spend all day looking at them, but our group did provide some activities to celebrate National Alpaca Days, too. Karen organized a needlefelting activity, and Theresa provided beading. We showed people and kids how to needlefelt alpaca fur onto a piece of felt using a cookie cutter form. Kids had alpaca fur to take to school the next day and quite honestly the adults seemed to be fascinated. Beading? Anything Steeler colors was a major hit.
Jenny and Fay had a spinner demonstrating her skills. When Chris wasn't showing someone how to crochet, she was talking to the spinner. I think she also is fascinated but with spinning.
