This year Lands' End started a Feel Good project with Warm Up America. They have arranged for free yarn to make afghans.Through Penny Sitler at CGOA, 3RC arranged to have 5 cones sent, thinking as a group we could complete 5 afghans by mid December. We originally asked for darker colors since our intended recipients are the VA. But we were told no choice on colors.
The yarn arrived today. Think fruit! Cranberry, cherry, orange, grape, and blueberry. If you look carefully, you can see the cones are not equal in size. They suggest handing out 1.5 oz per 7 x 9 rectangle. We've already discussed going about 5 afghans in a different way. Let's see how the colors influence us???
