Chris's Avocations

Chris is one of those members who can only join us occasionally. That's because she is involved in so many other things besides crochet. She is an avowed Star Wars geek for one.

Right now she is involved with supporting Equality Now, a group promoting human rights of women around the world. The group is having a fundraiser at Ross Community Center on August 1st at 6 pm. Part of the program is a screening of the movie Serenity.

Chris has put her crochet skills to work by making an adorable doll of one of the characters from the movie. I believe it will be auctioned off. So if your interests are congruent with Chris's, here's a chance to get involved.
