The knitters and crocheters of the U.S. have really stepped up to help with this problem. I've read about quite a few groups that are making the liners. Even I made one when Knit One was collecting them.
Maria is a good example of why yarn groups are are a good idea. Stuck? Confused? Someone in the group can probably help or find some help. Want to be involved in a charity project? Our group has donated so many items to so many causes I can't keep count. Then each of us will see that something is needed and they are free to work for that cause on their own. Even personal projects are wonderful to share. But then we're so proud of what everyone accomplished. Of course, that's not to mention all the fun that is had just being together.
