Joyce came to the latest meeting with her mom, Marilyn. Marilyn is new to the group and has decided she would like to attend regularly. Joyce came to see why Marilyn was enjoying the group so much. Joyce doesn't knit or crochet; she needlefelts and makes truly interesting dolls. The little lady with the finlike attachments down her spine is going to be mailed to a winner of a project by the Pink Artists. These are artists using their skills to raise money for breast cancer research. This is a completed creation and she garnered a lot of attention from our group as well as patrons of Panera's.
The smaller blue creature is not yet finished. Joyce was working on another creature that you can see has an interesting tail already. Joyce belongs to a doll making group. but we enjoyed her visit and thought she belonged with us, too. After all roving is just unspun yarn!
