We visited the Heinz Veteran's Hospital in O'Hara Township on the 25th of July. There we were greeted by Karen Cinnamon the Voluntary/Recreation Programs Leader. We were all very impressed with the facility. She explained how they were making efforts to make things as homelike as possible. She was very pleased that our group was interested in helping out. She said our handmade items would be quite useful and that donations ($$) were also needed to cover many of the things that the VA did not. For example. one big item not covered was toiletries.
We are so pleased to be supporting this charity through the Yarn Ball. Karen is hoping to be there to explain things better than I could.
