Learning Something New

                                                                                                                                               Since Tricia Puskar visited with us, people are making preemie caps for the Knit One Save One program. I asked Roxann if she could make any but she indicated she didn't know how. I left if at that, but Roxann didn't.

She got Rebecca to show her how and wow!

She made 20 (and more at the last meeting) and working from suggestions from Rebecca on her own taught herself to make adult caps. The single blue was her first attempt but it was a bit small (good to donate for a boy) and then made 2 she is keeping for herself. She is quite justifiably proud of herself. And we are impressed by her.

Rebecca has made slips to put on the caps as a way of adding a personal note for new moms lucky enough to get a kit from Save the Children at a clinic. You can see it in front of one of the hats Roxann made last Sat.
